Canada Soccer's Para Soccer National Team recruiting
February 10, 2020

Canada Soccer’s Para Soccer National Team is currently recruiting for its national team. The team has had nearly 100 players represent Canada over the past 14 years. We know there are many more athletes from across the country who qualify for the program but may not be aware of the program and great opportunity!

Seventy-nine countries currently play 7-aside-soccer internationally. Canada is ranked 12th in the world and features some of the best players, including Samuel Charron from Ottawa who was recently selected Player of the Tournament at the 2019 IFCPF World Cup.

We are looking for your support to spread the word about the National Team, the opportunity to represent Canada and compete against the best teams in the world. You could help us get more people active in sports and maybe even find the next Canadian Para Soccer star.

There are three criteria that would qualify a person to play for our Para Soccer National Team: mild cerebral palsy; recovery stroke person; and athletes with an acquired brain injury.

If you or anyone you know meets the criteria, Canada’s Para Soccer National Team wants to speak with them!

Interested individuals should contact head coach Drew Ferguson.
