Ontario Soccer is pleased to announce the dates and locations of a number of Coach Development opportunities:
Goalkeeping Diploma
Ontario Soccer will be hosting the next course at:
- Cambridge Youth Soccer Club, April 30 and May 1. (2 days)
The requirements for coaches to
apply to Goalkeeping Diploma are that they must have completed the
minimum of: "Soccer For Life" or a higher coaching certification, Making
Ethical Decisions, Respect In Soccer and Proof of Making Head Way.
As
well, coaches can qualify if they are: a Former / Active Canadian
Professional Player (Written verification from Ontario Soccer Technical
Director), Making Ethical Decisions, Respect In Soccer, Proof of Making
Head Way.
Soccer Fitness Diploma
Ontario Soccer will be hosting the next course at:
- Ontario Soccer Centre, May 27 and June 3. (2 days)
The requirements for coaches to
apply to the Soccer Fitness Trainers Diploma course providing proof of
successfully taking one of the following: Learn to Train, Soccer for
Life, Pre-B assessment, C Licence or B Licence; and Make Ethical
Decisions, Respect in Sport, and Making Head Way in Soccer.
Coaches
must provide the required documentation in their application that can
be completed on Coach Centre. Once the coach’s application has been
approved they will then be granted access to register for the course.
Provincial
B Licence coaches who attend the Soccer Fitness Trainer Course will
also attain seven (7) professional development points to go towards the
maintenance of their Provincial B Licence.
C License
Ontario Soccer will be hosting the next course at:
- Ottawa South United Soccer Club, May 26 - May 27 and June 2 - June 3. (4 days)
The requirements for coaches to
apply to the C License course are that they must provide proof of
successfully passing the Soccer for Life or Learn to Train, Make Ethical
Decisions, Respect in Sport, and Making Head Way in Soccer.
B License
Ontario Soccer will be hosting the next course at:
- Ontario Soccer Centre, June 11 - June 15. (5 days)
The requirements for coaches to
apply to the B License Part 1 course are that they must provide proof of
successfully passing: Pre B Assessment (2013 or later) / C License
Certification plus a letter of recommendation to Ontario Soccer in their
application as well as proof of Respect in Soccer, Make Ethical
Decisions and Making Head Way in Soccer Concussion E-Learning Module.
Coaches must provide the required documentation in their application that can be completed on E2E, Coach Centre.
Once the coach’s application has been approved they will then be granted access to register for the course.
